During the ‘pitching’ stage of a digital marketing agencies presentation, they often tell what many call white lies or embellishments. To me, when they do this, they are not innocent faux pas but outright lies to get the prospect in. They create unrealistic expectations on the prospects part should the agency win the deal. However, what inevitably happens is that the client is disappointed with the lack of results and they feel they were lied to, and rightly so.
There are more than nine ‘lies’ agencies tell during a pitch, but the rest are variations on these themes, but in this episode we explore what the main ones are.
